Runner Loyalty Programme
Runners who have participated in the Cayman Islands Marathon for 3 consecutive years qualify to receive a special rate when registering for the event. This rate cannot be taken advantage of online after 1 September so registrants will have to come in to the Kelly Holding office to register. This offer applies to half and full marathoners ONLY.
Course Description
The Intertrust Cayman Islands Marathon is a LOOPED course. Your run will take you along the waterfront of George Town, the capital of the Cayman Islands, into the residential area of South Sound which boasts multi-million dollar homes and dazzling views of the ocean and then into the financial district and along the waterfront once again.
Water/Aid Stations and Medical Support
Water/Aid stations will be placed every mile of the race and water and Gatorade will be provided at each station. First Aid Stations will be located every 2 miles on the course and medic stations will be at the start/finish line and at the 7 and 20 Mile marker. Medical personnel will also be present at several of the stations, start line, and finish area, and the Cayman Islands National Red Cross will make sure runners are provided with quality first aid care.
Timing, Pace and Results
You must complete the marathon in six (6) hours which is approximately a 14-minute pace. Runners who are unable to complete the race within this time will not be guaranteed an official race result, and will be picked up along the course and brought back to the Start/Finish line.
The Intertrust Cayman Islands Marathon is a chip-timed event. We use the AMB Active Transponder System. All participants will receive a chip/transponder when they pick up their packets on Saturday, 30 November. Chips MUST be returned after the race. A $109 charge will be assessed if the chip is not returned. In addition, all runners MUST wear their chip when running. NO CHIP, NO TIME!
Race results are posted throughout the event and the complete results are available immediately at the conclusion of the event. Split timing is also done at the turnaround point.
Prizes
All runners who complete their race will receive a commemorative finishers medal. In addition awards are given to the top 3 males and females overall in the Marathon and Half Marathon and the top three teams in 4 different relay divisions: Men's, Women's, Open Mixed and Corporate. Awards are also given to the top three male and female in the following age categories:
- 29 and under
- 30 to 39
- 40 to 49

Please note that if a runner wins an overall award, he/she is ineligible for an age category award.
