Course Description
The Cayman Islands Marathon is a LOOPED course. Your run will take you along the waterfront of George Town, the capital of the Cayman Islands, into the residential area of South Sound which boasts multi-million dollar homes and dazzling views of the ocean and then into the financial district and along the waterfront once again.

Water/Aid Stations and Medical Support
Water/Aid stations will be placed every mile of the race and water and Gatorade will be provided at each station. First Aid Stations will be located every 2 miles on the course and medic stations will be at the start/finish line and at the 7 and 20 Mile marker. Medical personnel will also be present at several of the stations, start line, and finish area, and the Cayman Islands National Red Cross will make sure runners are provided with quality first aid care.

Timing, Pace and Results
You must complete the marathon in six (6) hours which is approximately a 14-minute pace. Runners who are unable to complete the race within this time will not be guaranteed an official race result, and will be picked up along the course and brought back to the Start/Finish line.

The Cayman Islands Marathon uses the ChampionChip timing system. All participants who do not own a Yellow ChampionChip will receive a Black ChampionChip when they pick up their packets on Saturday, 5 December. If a runner owns his/her own ChampionChip, and will be using it in this race, the number will need to be provided in the application. Runners who do not own a ChampionChip and will be using the chip provided by the Marathon MUST return it after the race. A $35 charge will be assessed if the chip is not returned. In addition, all runners MUST wear their chip when running. NO CHIP, NO TIME!

Race results are posted throughout the event and the complete results are available immediately at the conclusion of the event. Split timing is also done at the turnaround point.
